[Skye repeats it, as if Mary will realize just how messed up it was for her to say that. She had killed Thor because he went to her for help. Tired of this back and forth going nowhere, Skye tries to use her power again to shove Mary into the wall again. Harder than the last time.]
[Up until now, it would seem like Skye forgot just how powerful Mary was. Thereβs still a lot about her own powers she doesnβt understand, like if there was any way for her to get out of this invisible grip on her. Restraining her from lifting her hand again, or moving at all.]
Because you lied to him. Told him you could help get rid of his sister whoβs dangerous.
[Her voice sounds strained as she struggles to try and break free of whatever spell Mary put on her. As if it would be that simple.]
( because maybe it would mean something more if it referenced skye. who was the one who'd blasted off her door and thrown her against a wall? who'd started this fight? )
The world calls us dangerous because they're afraid. They want you to be afraid of your power instead of owning it.

I killed him for that reason. He killed his sister in 'justice'. Who would he kill next?
[Itβs not the first time sheβs thought of her powers as dangerous, but for Mary to call her that? Yeah, she doesnβt do a great job of hiding her faltering expression.]

[She can see what Mary is trying to do. Manipulate the way she thinks of what she did to Thor. As if she were protecting his sister.]
[In the back of her mind, Skye knew exactly what Mary was trying to do here by letting her go. Feeling so much anger at the moment makes it difficult for Skye to think clearly, so instead of proving herself to be the opposite of Mary, Skye gives in to her anger. Bringing her hand back up, Skye is intent on sending Mary careening into the lamp and subsequently the wall.
Whether it works or not, Skyeβs doubling over in pain clutching her arm.]
( she brings her own hands back up, planning to erect the barrier again. but she isn't quick enough to get it up first, the shockwaves bouncing off the barrier, sending her more forcefully into the lamp and then the wall.
and it surprises her how much it hurts. it's a very different situation to anything that she's been in at home and the last attack she faced-- )

( but she's far from defeated. her fingers weave her magic, brushes of her fingers at the air as they come to her hand and the shards of glass from the lamp raise up, hovering only seconds before flying towards skye, directed rather than wildly flung )
[Skye only has seconds to respond, and out of instinct she raises her hands in an attempt to shield herself. In doing so, however, Skyeβs powers activate again and create some kind of shield that ricochets most of the glass away from her. Some of the shards do manage to cut her skin however, and the pain of the glass embedding in her skin as well as the fractures in her arm is enough to make her drop her guard again.]
( the thing about shockwaves is that those wider out than the glass keep travelling towards her, reverberating and exciting the molecules in the air. some hit at the wall, others just connect with her but honestly, it's like a fist connecting with her. except it shakes to her bones.
and she's done in this. there are many ways that this conflict could go, including in skye's death but considering that the woman will just come back it doesn't manifest as an option for very long. instead, she wants her gone, allowing lilith to lick her own wounds and plan what she'd do next.
