[ It's a sobering answer, not something that inspires at all. But at least they are both on the same page here. They know it's just plugging a leak in a dam, but it's what they can do for the moment.
Harry's just eager to take on the whole damn deluge. ]
Then let's get started. At least there's a chance, for a little while.
I cast an intruder charm and a caterwaulling charm. Both let you know when, well, an intruder is trying to get in, just one's louder than the other.
Most of what I know that's... subtle works against magic. I can charm the place against magical attacks for forever. Otherwise, it's an all or nothing sort of deal. A shield that doesn't let anybody in. For emergencies.
[ He nods and does so. Raising his wand, he murmurs a Latin phrase under his breath. And just like that, a barrier begins to form, forming a dome over the clinic room. Whatever it is made of can only be described as magical: hazy and luminous at the same time. It fully forms itself, then nearly disappears, a barely there glint when the light catches it right. ]
( as he casts his spell her eyes close and for a moment she allows herself to be still, feeling his power, the energy coming from him as he casts, the magical vibrations in the room as his spell forms.
when she opens her eyes lilith brings her hands in front of her and rather than words she traces a sigil in the air, continuing a few more, focused on what she's casting.
he'll note that she's done by a flash of light in his barrier, a faint darker tone to it before it becomes almost invisible again. her hands fall, attention turning to him )
[ He nods slightly, focused on her motions, her magic, trying to read and understand what she's doing without her explaining, without it being too obvious. Their magics are so different in their ways, but at their heart, of course, they're simply magic.
Harry takes a few steps forward to where the barrier should be and tests it, walking forward and back. He does so without problem and turns to give Wardwell a grin. ]
